December 29, 2006:  Ipca's Bulk Drug 'Atenolol' Registered in China

The State Food and Drug Administration of the People's Republic of China has approved and registered Ipca's Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) Atenolol for importation and use in China.

It is the first such regsitration received by the Company from China for sale of its Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient. Ipca has plans to register more APIs in China.

Ipca is one of the largest producer in the world of API Atenolol and holds its Drug Master Files (DMFs) in various countries. Ipca is also marketing formulations of Atenolol in various markets of CIS, Asia, Africa and Europe.

Ipca is a Mumbai based fast growing fully integrated Pharmaceutical Company engaged in the manufacturing and marketing of a range of pharmaceuticals world over with a strong thrust on exports.
